Did you know - TPM and Windows 22H2

TPM - Trusted platforms modules are an exciting addition to the hosting of virtual workloads. Windows, Linux, BSD and many appliances take advantage of these.

Below are suggested steps to complete the needed updates. Make a backup or snapshot before proceeding.

*** We are using Storage TPM and Storage encryption, the bypass allows talking to the TPM 2.0 that is available.

Steps

1. Be sure to install all Pending updates if any. This will leave you with the Windows 11 22h2 update left.

2. Navigate to the following link https://vpn-s3.syptec.com:9000/minio/tpmstorage/

3. From the link please download the "MediaCreationTool"

4. Once downloaded navigate to the download in the file explorer and right click the folder. Choose extract all.

5. Once the files have fully extracted double click the "MediaCreationTool.bat-main folder"

6. Once opened right click on the folder labeled as "Bypass11"

7. Inside the Bypass 11 folder right click the file labeled as "Skip_TPM_Check_on_Dynamic_Update.cmd" and run it as administrator. (See second attached image for more detail)

8. Once the script has been run and the CMD windows closes automatically go back to windows updates and choose the fix me.

**** Updates to an OS can take sometime. Plan accordingly.
